Argentinsk malbec and Brasilian bossa
Saturday 11 July 16:00

The Brazilian musician and composer ROGÉRIO not only has Rio in his name, but also in his music. With his skilled guitar playing and his gentle voice, Rogério transports us to the sensual atmosphere of the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro.
Faithful to the Bossa Nova tradition, Rogério adds its own personal touch to classics like The Girl from Ipanema, One Note Samba, Corcovado, Wave, Insensatez, Desafinado etc., turning each song into a unique musical universe.

Can it get better? Yes it doeas, because the wines are from Argentina. Argentinean win bar & malbec wine imports Tango y Vinos is proud to present a soloist with lots of intensity, like our known malbeck vin.

As a teenager he moved to Rio, the mecca of Bossa Nova, in order to get closer to this fascinating rhythm, in particular to the music of Tom Jobim, the greatest Brazilian composer ever. At the age of 21 he moved to Munich, Germany, where he spent three years playing around in cafes and pubs.

After the German experience, he played in different countries such as France, Spain, Argentina, his home country Brazil, and finally Denmark, where he has been living since 1990. In Aarhus, he founded the group “Blue Bossa”, which played successfully for three years. Since 1998 Rogério has been living and playing in Copenhagen, and has become a well known name in the Bossa scene of this city.

Besides playing Bossa classics, ROGÉRIO also explores different tunes belonging to other styles such as jazz, chanson française, flamenco, other latinamerican rythms etc.

As a musical style, Bossa Nova evolved from different old fashioned Brazilian styles, such as chorinho for instance. Bossa Nova also contains elements from jazz, impressionistic French music, flamengo, and latin rythms etc. This combination turns Bossa Nova into the perfect music to be played at receptions, charming cafés, and lounge bars. According to Rogério, “it is the perfect soundtrack for sophisticated moments of nostalgic intimacy and tropical sensuality.”
